The Glen Villa keeper parried the effort, but Finley, perfectly positioned and alert, reacted quickest to slot home and give Spartans a deserved 1–0 lead.

The game remained evenly balanced after the opener, with both sides battling hard in midfield. A moment of real quality then shifted the momentum further in Groby’s favour. Daniel threaded a superb through ball into acres of space, inviting Finley to chase. Showing determination and strength, he outmuscled the Glen Villa defender, drove through on goal, and finished emphatically with a powerful strike to make it 2–0.

After the break, Finley turned provider. Spotting Kieran in space, he looped the ball over his marker. Kieran showed great composure, allowing the ball to drop nicely before striking from distance.
